Installation
Two minutes. There is no framework to pick and nothing to import.
Before you start
Section titled “Before you start”| You need | Why |
|---|---|
| A FiveM server | That is all — mic_leafblower is standalone and runs on ESX, QBCore, QBox or no framework |
A way to give players WEAPON_RAYMINIGUN | The leaf blower is that weapon |
1. Put the folder in place
Section titled “1. Put the folder in place”Drop mic_leafblower into your resources, for example inside resources/[mic]/. Keep its stream/ folder: it holds the replacement Widowmaker model (w_mg_sminigun).
2. Start it
Section titled “2. Start it”Add ensure mic_leafblower to server.cfg. It has no dependencies, so where it goes does not matter.
It worked when the resource starts with no red line in the console.
3. The database — nothing to do
Section titled “3. The database — nothing to do”mic_leafblower stores nothing.
4. The weapon in your inventory
Section titled “4. The weapon in your inventory”There is no new item. The leaf blower is the game weapon WEAPON_RAYMINIGUN, so it lives wherever your inventory already keeps weapons. All you may want to change is its name, so players see “Leaf Blower” instead of “Widowmaker”:
| Inventory | Where the weapon’s label is |
|---|---|
| ox_inventory | ox_inventory/data/weapons.lua, the WEAPON_RAYMINIGUN entry |
| ESX default | es_extended/shared/config/weapons.lua, the WEAPON_RAYMINIGUN entry |
| QBCore | qb-core/shared/weapons.lua and the weapon_rayminigun item in qb-core/shared/items.lua |
Change the label only — leave the weapon name as it is. The resource looks for WEAPON_RAYMINIGUN and that name can not be changed.
No icon ships with the resource; the inventory keeps showing its own Widowmaker picture unless you replace that image yourself.
5. First test
Section titled “5. First test”- Give yourself
WEAPON_RAYMINIGUNthe way your server normally gives weapons. - Equip it. A leaf blower appears in your right hand instead of the gun.
- Spawn a car, stand a few metres away and hold right mouse (aim) at it.
It worked when leaves blow out of the blower and the car slides away from you. Clicking left mouse fires nothing.
Before you open your city
Section titled “Before you open your city”- Decide who gets the Widowmaker. Anyone who has it can shove players and cars around.
- Pick the strength.
Config.Forceships onmedium;hardthrows cars and players a long way. - Decide on fall damage.
Config.FallDamageis off: a blown-over player can not be hurt until they get up. - Rename the weapon in your inventory so players see “Leaf Blower”.
